I started DJMM after being involved in a couple of mastermind groups locally for the past few years.  I took much of what I have learned from those original groups and applied it to the Disc Jockey Industry.  I did this mainly because I always loved going to the various conventions as I would always meet lots of new folks (as well as the many friends I have made over the years) that had great ideas or solutions that could be applied to my own business.  The only problem was that each time I went to these events, it would cost me several hundred dollars to go as well as it taking several days to a week away from my business and the high only lasted for a few days after I got back home.

That is when I started thinking to myself - if I could have that kind of support and learning environment all year long, there was no telling how fast I could grow in my business.  More importantly, I was looking for something that could help me work on my business, not just in my business.  I wanted the same benefits of networking at conventions without spending a fortune every year just to get my networking and learning fix!

Thank God for my current local mastermind group because when I presented this idea of what I have been mulling over ever since I came back home from Mobile Beat Las Vegas 2009, they suggested I form my own mastermind group for the DJ Industry.  I couldn’t believe it, the answer was so simple and it was staring me right in the face all along.  It was definitely one of those “A-ha!” moments and I was so excited about it that I could hardly sleep for two weeks while I got everything all set up.  Now DJMM is taking on a life of its own, growing by leaps and bounds!

The basic concept behind DJMM is really simple; it’s DJs helping each other build and grow their business all year long in a safe and secure, positive learning environment.  The beauty of this concept is entirely in its simplicity.  But as simple as it may be, it is also a powerful tool that DJs from all across the United States and Canada are already using with incredible results.  Where else are you going to find the same kind of environment like Peter Merkle’s Think Tank in Las Vegas or DJ Idea Sharing developed by Mike & Steve Fernino and Rob Peters twice per month, all year long? And without spending a small fortune on airline tickets?!

DJMM is a business-building networking group of Disc Jockeys from all over the world, with a focus on everyone having equal time to share as well as receive feedback on their businesses. We are not another DJ organization or association, nor are we competing with them; although we do support our members belonging to one.
